Abstract

REAL ESTATE MARKET FLOWS IN THE REPUBLIC OF NORTH MACEDONIA

Faton Shabani

Abstract

In general terms, real estate constitutes property in the form of land or buildings, including agricultural and construction land, but also buildings for residential, commercial or industrial purposes. The real estate market today is not only very complex but also constantly challenged in terms of development and perfection. The complexity stems mainly from the characteristics of the subject matter being traded. First, the complexity is imposed by the practical division of the market into that of sale and rent. Second, the forms in which real estate is presented on the market are so segmented and diverse: household, commercial, industrial, agricultural, construction and other real estate. Data on this market in the Republic of North Macedonia is officially managed by the Agency for Real Estate Cadastre through the Register of Prices and Leases. From the perspective of the methodology used by the Agency for the processing and presentation of data, there is an improvement in this methodology with the aim of providing the most complete, detailed and concise data. The processing of statistical data for the time period 2016-2024, for which data is provided by the Register, results in findings that confirm that the greater number of sale or rent transactions does not automatically imply the greater monetary value of the respective transactions.

Keywords: real estate, market, sale, rent, North Macedonia, Register of Prices and Leases, statistical data, 2016-2024.

Title of Presentation:Entrepreneurial Intentions of Professionally Active Part-time Female Students: Comparison of Management & Pedagogy - resume of international collaboration

Abstract:The purpose of this study was the diagnosis of the entrepreneurial attitudes and intentions of female management and pedagogy students and to confront these variables with their satisfaction with studies and their trust in lecturers. The research was conducted in the spring of 2023, utilizing a survey as its data collection method. The survey was administered online as an extensive questionnaire to students. The study was design as a quantitative research, where 143 online surveys were collected from female students of Milenium University in Gniezno. The results of the quantitative data showed that female students were able to actively create their entrepreneurial attitude. It proved particularly important to establish the university's ability to create female students' confidence and value in the labour market using a practical profile of studies like at Milenium University. The uniqueness of this study consists of entrepreneurial intentions of pedagogy and management female students, who are active on the labour market. Those groups are special in terms of carrier planning and perspective on labour market. Pedagogy students work in institutions with limited and predetermined carrier path. On the other hand, managerial students have bigger development opportunities in competitive market.

Abstract

Title of Presentation:Employee Engagement and Gamification

Abstract:In the current fast-paced workplace, enhancing employee engagement poses a significant challenge for organizations aiming for excellence. This case study examines the creative use of gamification as an effective method to boost employee participation and satisfaction. By incorporating game-like elements into work activities, businesses can turn routine tasks into engaging experiences that align with employees' fundamental desires for achievement, connection, and recognition. The research provides a thorough analysis of various organizational applications, demonstrating how gamification strategies—such as interactive challenges, reward systems, and team competitions—can greatly improve workplace culture. The results indicate that when these gamified elements are carefully implemented, they not only increase engagement but also foster a sense of belonging and teamwork among employees. Furthermore, the study reveals that gamification can enhance performance and encourage continuous learning, ultimately resulting in higher retention rates and job satisfaction. By aligning gamification with organizational objectives, leaders can create a dynamic work environment that promotes innovation and personal development. This study is a valuable resource for organizations seeking to utilize gamification as a strategic tool to enhance employee engagement. It offers practical insights and recommendations for effective gamification initiatives and proposes areas for future research to investigate its long-term impacts on organizational success and employee well-being. Globalization, digitalization, and the pandemic have significantly transformed the labour market, leading to an expansion in the market and a high demand for employees. Currently, employers are grappling with a considerable shortage of both qualified and unqualified workers. Conversely, employees are increasingly reluctant to change jobs, return to traditional contract work, or even begin new employment. This has resulted in decreased engagement in organizational processes and overall performance. Organizations are compelled to explore strategies for attracting, retaining, and engaging employees through various modern tools and methods. Employee engagement has become a crucial topic for human resource managers, as it is directly linked to organizational performance, customer satisfaction, and financial outcomes. High levels of engagement help retain employees, maximize their competencies, and enhance organizational results. In this context, employee engagement can be categorized into individual, job, and organizational engagement. Gamification emerges as a powerful tool to boost employee engagement by transforming monotonous tasks into engaging and meaningful activities. It motivates employees by fulfilling their internal or external needs. Traditional engagement methods are no longer sufficient to meet key performance indicators, making gamification a potential new approach to work. Despite organizations' keen interest in gamification, there is a relative scarcity of research on its role in enhancing employee engagement. This paper aims to explore the impact of gamification on employee engagement across individual, job, and organizational levels. A quantitative empirical study assessed the theoretical framework linking gamification and employee engagement. The findings indicate that gamification has the most significant influence on individual and job engagement. The analysis of engagement factors reveals that gamification notably affects areas such as reward and recognition, procedural justice, feedback, distributive justice, perceived supervisor support, and opportunities for career development, knowledge acquisition, learning, and growth.

Title of Presentation:A STUDY ON CURRENT TRENDS AND CHALLENGES IN INDIAN STOCK MARKET

Abstract:The Indian stock market plays a crucial role in the country's financial ecosystem, influencing economic growth, investment trends, and business operations. This study examines the current scenario of the Indian stock market, focusing on the NSE Nifty 50 index and its performance over the last five years. The research highlights key factors driving market fluctuations, including foreign institutional investments (FII), economic policies, sectoral trends, and global financial conditions. Findings indicate that the market has experienced significant volatility, with notable downturns in early 2025 due to weak corporate earnings, global economic uncertainties, and sustained foreign investor outflows. Sector-wise performance analysis reveals that IT and mid-cap stocks faced substantial declines, while the banking sector exhibited relative resilience. Additionally, regulatory measures by SEBI and monetary policy changes by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) have played a vital role in shaping market movements. The study further explores historical trends in the Nifty 50 index from 2020 to 2025, illustrating its recovery from pandemic-induced lows, periods of robust growth, and subsequent corrections. Key takeaways suggest that while short-term market fluctuations are inevitable, long-term prospects remain positive, supported by economic resilience and evolving regulatory frameworks. This research aims to provide insights for investors and policymakers to navigate the complexities of stock market movements effectively. Key Words: Stock Market, Nifty 50, Foreign Institutional Investments, Market Volatility

Abstract

The use of artificial intelligence and automation technologies in the defense industry has a wide impact from military operations to production processes. These technologies are increasingly being adopted in the defense industry to reduce costs, increase operational efficiency and accelerate decision-making processes. However, this transformation also brings with it various legal discussions in terms of international competition law and ensuring a fair competition environment in the defense sector.

This study examines the basic applications of artificial intelligence and automation in the defense industry, their effects on large-scale defense industry companies and the difficulties of small/medium-sized enterprises in adapting to this change. The applications of leading countries in areas such as the development of artificial intelligence-supported military systems, unmanned vehicle technologies and autonomous defense mechanisms are examined and how these technologies shape the competitive environment in the defense industry is evaluated.

In addition, the impact of artificial intelligence and automation technologies on market balances, state-supported defense industry investments and the process of compliance with competition rules are discussed in the context of international competition law. The legal and economic aspects of competition between large-scale companies and smaller actors in the defense industry are examined and predictions are presented on how regulations in this area may shape in the future.

As a result, how artificial intelligence and automation affect the position of defense industry companies in the global market and the legal difficulties that these developments may create in terms of compliance with international competition law have been evaluated. The study offers suggestions on how competition policies focused on artificial intelligence and automation can be created in the defense industry.
